Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, has confirmed that the next generation graphics cards will be released next year. Now the company is actively working on both video cards and software for them, which is confirmed by the ROCm development toolkit.
The next generation of AMD GPUs are rumored to have at least three GPUs: Navi 31, Navi 32 and Navi 33. Two of them have been added to updated Github documentation for ROCclr (Radeon Open Compute Common Language Runtime). We are talking about the flagship Navi 31 and the mid-range GPU Navi 33.
At the moment, it is known that the AMD Navi 31 and Navi 32 graphics processors will receive several chiplets interconnected by an interchiplet bridge, aka shared L3 cache. They will be manufactured using a 5nm process technology, a 6nm process technology will also be applied for individual components or lower-end models, and the number of flagship stream processors can reach 15360.
