A social media engineer recently reverse-engineered Twitter to announce a change in the way tweets are displayed on the timeline, which will make the environment more like Facebook. Of course, Twitter may never make such changes widely, but it is still possible in the future.
Jane Manchun Wong focuses on reverse engineering social media and has recently been able to spot new changes on Twitter. He had previously identified the Blue Twitter tick feature before its introduction. By posting screenshots, he depicts possible changes in the way tweets are displayed on users' timelines. Following this change, the user name along with his ID, date and time of the tweet will be displayed in two separate lines. Also, the empty space and distance between the elements used in the design increase. All of the above is now displayed continuously on a single line on all devices.
Although Wong believes that the mentioned changes are only apparent, some people claim that the new mode of displaying tweets in the timeline can cause all the information to be displayed correctly, especially in cases where the user's username is too long. For example, if you use Twitter on a small screen device, you will not be able to see the full name and ID of the user, and Twitter will not display some of them.
These changes cause the margins around the images to disappear and the edges of the image to reach the side of the screen, which will make the Twitter environment very similar to Facebook. Also, the user image will not be displayed next to the tweet text and will be placed above it. Of course, it is noted that the new design will not affect the replicas, and there is still a gray line to connect them to the main tweet.
It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. But given the current display problems, especially for older devices with small screens, the new way tweets are displayed can be good news for many users.
