Google's Upcoming Flagship Will Be Called The Pixel 6XL

However, it  seems that there are 3 months left until the unveiling of Google's upcoming flagship smartphones ; But now a lot of details have been published about these handsets.

The search giant, in preparation for its new handsets, has probably carried out the biggest overhaul of the Android operating system in recent years. There are also some recent rumors about possible camera enhancements in the Pixel 6 family.

The standard 6.4-inch model will likely feature a 50-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The larger 6.71-inch model will reportedly feature a dual camera array including a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 48-megapixel telephoto module and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

The selfie camera will also likely use a 12-megapixel sensor. The new handsets will likely feature larger batteries, a fingerprint scanner under the display, and panels with high refresh rates.

Earlier rumors had it that the regular handset would be marketed as the Pixel 6 and the more advanced model as the Pixel 6 Pro. Apparently, the search engine giant considered the use of this naming pattern useless and rejected such claims.

Documents for new Game Mode APIs released by Google; The names of future handsets are mentioned. In the absence of any errors, these smartphones will be offered under the titles Pixel 6 and Pixel 6XL. These names were first reported by the XDA Developers Association.

Google has mentioned the names Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 XL in the Game Mode survey form for Pixel phones.

Thus, Google has implicitly announced that the company's future advanced flagship called the Pixel 6 Pro will not be launched. This news does not seem important though; But it is still interesting to see that Google rejects the rumors about changing the naming scheme of its geometries in the most subtle way possible.
