Unveils i4 M50; The first Bavarian electric car with the M mark

Bamboo unveiled the M50 version of the new i4. This car is the first electric model to be adorned with the M logo and due to its 536 hp engine, it will have a lot to say in front of the competitors. With the introduction of this car, Baamoo intends to gradually combine the visual and technical appeal of the M Series with future electric models.

The propulsion of the Bamoo i4 M50 consists of two electric motors. The engine mounted on the front axle has 255 hp and the engine mounted on the rear axle has 308 hp. The two engines produce a total of 794 Nm of torque and are controlled by a single-speed gearbox.

It is important to note that the maximum power and torque of the Bamoo i4 M50 is temporary and can be achieved in Sport Boost mode. Selecting this mode adds approximately 67 horsepower and 65 Nm of torque to the propulsion output for approximately 10 seconds. In other words, normally the power and torque of the engine is 469 hp and 729 Nm.

According to the Bavarians, the Bamuo i4 M50 takes just 3.9 seconds to reach 100 km / h and can reach a top speed of 225 km / h. For comparison, the standard i4 achieves zero to one hundred in 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 189 km / h. It also takes 4.1 seconds from zero to 60 miles (96 km) of the M3 sedan, one of Bamoo's most popular sports products; The Competition version also accelerates to 3.8 seconds.

Apart from the twin-engine drivetrain and four-wheel drive system, the i4 M50 uses the M suspension. The system includes dedicated shock absorbers and shock absorbers, anti-roll bars and special balance at the front, speed-sensitive sports steering wheel, M Sport brakes and 19-inch M (20-inch optional) rims.

Bamoo emphasizes that thanks to the low-altitude battery module, the i4 M50 has a lower center of gravity than the 1.3-inch Series 3 sedan. Relying on this module, the new Bavarian product can travel up to 245 miles (395 km) on a single charge. If connected to an 11 kW charger, it takes 7.6 hours to fully charge the module. Of course, Baamu says that this car supports 200 kW fast charging technology, and if it is connected to such a charger, its charge rate will increase from 10 to 80% in 31 minutes.

Inside the cabin, the dashboard form clearly shows that we are on the side of Bamo products. The large, wide panel behind the steering wheel of the i4 M50 appears to have been borrowed from the iX; The seats are similar to the ones used in the M3 and M4.

The presence of the driving mode selection buttons next to the driving mode selection lever can be considered a very positive point, because the driver can select the desired mode depending on his circumstances or interest. Because this version bears the M logo, the steering wheel and some of the cabin details are different from the standard i4 model.
