Samsung has been developing its own proprietary processors in the past, but decided to shut it down due to the poor performance of Mongoose cores compared to ARM designs . But apparently Samsung wants to re-develop its proprietary processor by hiring former AMD and Apple engineers.
A new report claims that Samsung is looking to hire experienced engineers who have worked for Apple and AMD in the past. One of them seems to have played a key role in the development of Apple's proprietary chipsets. Apparently, this engineer wants to have complete control over his team and, of course, determine the people who can be present in this team.
According to a recent report, Samsung is not happy with the performance of the new Cortex-X cores and wants to have access to faster cores. The Koreans are currently working with Google to design a proprietary chip and are also working with AMD to bring the RDNA 2 GPU to Exynos chips. The new generation of Exynos flagship chips comes with AMD GPU.
Of course, Samsung is not alone in this, and its rival, Qualcomm, will soon unveil a new custom CPU design. The company acquired Nuvia not so long ago . Nuvia by former Apple engineer the chip A14, M1 and older chips worked, has been established .

Based on the performance of companies in recent years, it seems that engineers who have worked on Apple's proprietary chips are of great importance in the market. Of course, this is not surprising, as the Cupertino chips are extremely high-performance and not only outperform their Android competitors, but also compete heavily with Intel and AMD. The M1 chip significantly reduces the share of Intel processors .
We do not know the exact date of the introduction of Qualcomm and Samsung's proprietary and custom designs, however, Korean design may be available next year.
