Porsche has officially announced that the company's Porsche Cayenne Turbo has surpassed the record for the fastest Nurburgring track chassis previously held by the Audi RS Q8. This long chassis was able to set a record of 7 minutes and 38.925. This record-breaking was recorded by the company's official driver, Lars Kern.
The Cayenne Turbo is about 4 seconds faster than the Audi RS Q8. The record set by the Cayenne Turbo is equal to that of powerful sedans such as the BMW M5 and the Porsche Panamera Turbo.
Lars Kern says of the record that at the beginning of the lap it did not feel like riding a long chassis at all because the rear axle and steering wheel of the car strongly injected me with a sense of confidence to be able to drive at maximum speed.
Behind the wheel of the new Cayenne Turbo, in fast corners, there is no feeling of air roll or strong body shaking at all, and there is no lack of command in this model.
Porsche has not yet commented on the exact specifications of this new model, but it is expected that its maximum power will be more than 600 horsepower. The chassis set the record while using the 22-inch Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tire.
Like the previous generation model, the V-8 engine is expected to be equipped with two turbochargers.
