Intel today fully unveiled the powerful 11th generation processors . Dell will launch a new generation of XPS 15 and XPS 17 laptops with 10-nanometer Intel processors along with the latest Nvidia RTX 30 series GPUs.
New laptops in terms of shape different from previous versions introduced in 2020, no . But in terms of specifications, they have improved and are now equipped with Intel's 11th generation TigerLike processor with a 10nm production process. Both the XPS 15 and XPS 17 come in six-core configurations, the i5-11400H or the eight-core i7-11800H and i9-11900H.
The XPS 17 comes with an additional configuration and i9-11980HK processor, which actually offers eight cores with a maximum clock speed of 5.0 GHz. Dell claims that this device is the most powerful XPS laptop of this company.
The XPS 15 uses Nvidia RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti 45-watt graphics, and the XPS 17 uses a 60-watt RTX 3050 or 70-watt RTX 3060 GPU.
Both new devices with a maximum of 64 GB of RAM are available in different models with a display with a resolution of 3840 by 2400 pixels or with a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels. Another version of the XPS 15 laptop is available, which uses a display with a resolution of 3456 by 2160 pixels. Newer devices have narrow margins around the screen.
Dell has also updated the ports of new devices. The XPS 17 laptop has four Thunderbolt 4 ports. While the XPS 15 is equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a standard USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port.
The Dell XPS 15 comes with a base price of $ 1,199 and the XPS 17 with a starting price of $ 1,399. Dell has not yet announced a release date for the new laptops. It remains to be seen whether users will welcome Dell's new laptops.
