Switzerland enters the world of electrical works with the Morand Cars brand

Once upon a time, if you wanted to buy a powerful and fast supercar, you just had to go for Italian products. But today the situation is different. At any moment, we have to wait for the introduction of a super sports from any country or car company. Of course, most of these ideas do not come to fruition, but the Swiss brand Morand Cars is determined to enter the global market with a hybrid hypercar.

Switzerland enters the world of electrical works with the Morand Cars brand

This is the first Swiss-made hypercar. Morand Cars has partnered with another Swiss company called Bcomp to build it. A company that specializes in the manufacture of composites and durable materials. Their main idea is to build a strong and solid hypercar that is environmentally friendly. They use natural fiber composites to shape the car's body and cabin.

Bcomp is also reportedly working with the Formula 1 team to make chairs made of natural fiber composite. In fact, Morand Cars CEO himself has good experience in engineering and racing. So it is to be hoped that there is a great deal of technical knowledge behind this fledgling automaker.

Now you have to prepare yourself to be more surprised. This anonymous hypercar is set to be released in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid versions. In both versions, the engine power is transmitted to the four wheels of the car. In the hybrid version, the V10 petrol engine is powered by three electric motors to emit approximately 1,200 horsepower.

But the electric version of the completion of the Swiss company's argument is with us! Because with four electric motors, it has a total of about 2,000 horsepower. Regarding the charging process, it is good to know that EV batteries are fully charged in less than 10 minutes, which of course depends on the type of charger you use.

The hybrid model weighs 3,020 pounds (1,370 kg). While the all-electric version is lighter and weighs only 2,755 pounds (1,250 kg). The maximum speed of both models is more than 400 km / h. In terms of acceleration, we only know about the hybrid model, which takes 6.4 seconds to get from a standstill to 200 km / h. Of course, all these numbers are on paper and have not yet reached the operational stage.

Morand Cars is currently in the first of three phases of product development, and we have yet to see a physical beam of the company's vehicles. Will Switzerland eventually own a super-sports brand, or will Morand Cars follow in the footsteps of failed startups before it? The car, which is currently in the second phase of design and production, according to the manufacturer claims, will be ready to enter the market in 2022.
