Samsung is working on an OLED display with a density of 1000 pixels per inch for 2024

Apparently, Samsung Display wants to make a big difference in the world of OLED and OLED displays and is working on a panel with a pixel density of 1000 pixels per inch.

In a recent report by the Korean media , precisely because of the development of such a display is not clear, and Samsung know it or not develop for smartphones. Nonetheless, the development of ultra-high-pixel-screen OLED displays is not far-fetched, especially given recent advances in the field as well as the need for higher quality displays for devices such as virtual reality headsets.

However, a recent report has a strange case: the development of new TFT technology for OLED panels to achieve such a high pixel density. Since OLED panels do not use TFT, the Koreans are probably developing an OLED panel with this pixel density. Of course, it is not yet possible to comment on such a matter with certainty, and we will have to wait.

In addition to high pixel density, a recent report says that Samsung's future TFT technology will be much faster than current solutions. Exactly this technology will be 10 times faster, of course, if this report is true.

Samsung also wants the panel to consume less power and cost less to build. We do not know how the Koreans want to achieve these goals, but apparently we have to wait for such a show in 2024.

Theoretically, a display with a pixel density of 1000 pixels per inch will perform well for virtual reality headsets, but Samsung has not paid much attention to this market in recent years. Given this, it is likely that the new TFT technology, or OLED panel with a pixel density of 1,000 pixels per inch, will be used in future Korean smartphones or tablets, or by other companies.

The highest pixel density in the display of smartphones belongs to one of the products of Sony and not Samsung. The Xperia 1 Mark 3 is equipped with a 6.5-inch OLED display with a pixel density of 643 pixels per inch, although its predecessor, the Xperia 1 Mark 2, also has a panel.
