Previously, Kuo and DigiTimes had indicated that the new iPad mini would be released in the first half of this year. Possibly due to component restrictions , which are already believed to affect the supply of the new iPad Pro and iMac with M1 , the new low-cost iPad parece now appears to have been delayed until the second half of 2021.

In his most recent note, the trusted analyst has reaffirmed some previously shared characteristics regarding the design of the new iPad mini. Thus, it is expected that it will debut an 8.4-inch screen with thinner bezels . But it is expected to continue to feature a Touch ID home button and a Lightning port. The latter could be a disappointment for customers expecting a major redesign, such as the changes seen with the iPad Air and iPad Pro.
Regarding the future of the device, Kuo has reported that Apple is working on an iPad mini with a mini-LED display , which recently debuted on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Compared to current LCD screens, the mini-LED on the iPad mini help would help deliver richer blacks, while also providing improved contrast and HDR.

In the same post, Kuo has reaffirmed the launch expectation for a new 8-inch foldable iPhone , confirming once again, that we could see it as early as 2023.
