Chinese Rolls-Royce customers buy $ 1 million cars using WeChat

Since the outbreak of coronavirus, most people have become accustomed to trading and buying without the need for cash. Most of these payments are made through their smartphones. Many of you probably pay for gas, coffee, groceries, clothes, and many other items online, but it may be interesting to note that Chinese customers have even recently paid for ultra-expensive cars such as the Rolls-Royce online.

Chinese Rolls-Royce customers buy $ 1 million cars using WeChat

A source close to Rolls-Royce said that many special and custom cars in China have recently been purchased through the WeChat app. In fact, this app works simultaneously with three apps, WhatsApp, Instagram and PayPal! Of course, most Chinese use Weichat is messaging.

But one of WeiChat's special features is that it allows users to make instant purchases, and many companies in China use this feature for business purposes. Like the Buy it now feature on eBay, but not to buy a $ 15 iPhone cable or a second-hand copy of Call Of Duty, but on Weichat you can buy one of the 20 Rolls-Royce Phantom Tempus limousines!

The car was unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show last month. Tempus is actually an upgraded limousine phantom. The so-called night sky roof, one of the most famous phantom options, is redesigned in this version with hand-made optical fibers, and cut aluminum parts can also be seen in the car dashboard.

The classic Rolls-Royce watch has been removed from the cabin to give the occupants a sense of freedom and leisure over time, and the body of the car has been customized in Kairos blue to evoke the night sky. The date and place of birth are engraved exclusively on the car for each buyer.

As for the price, Rolls-Royce does not usually mention the cost of certain cars in public. While the standard Phantom is priced at at least $ 535,000, this custom version is rumored to be at least $ 750,000 for its buyers.

Some even say that it may cost up to $ 1 million. The British luxury carmaker announced the sale of the Tempus phantom to all its high-end customers using the Weichat app.

According to reports from Rolls-Royce, many of these customers have accepted the offer to buy this car and have pre-purchased the Tempus Phantom without seeing the car or even talking to one of the company's officials.
