In recent years, astronomers have formed a number of circular radio objects millions of light-years in diameter. So far, the nature of these objects remains unknown, but recently a team of researchers has discovered a mass similar answer to the mystery could find.
The puzzle began when, about three years ago, Australia's telescopic array of 36 satellite dishes began making a radio map of the sky. In this map, scientists were looking for bright spots that were large black holes or galaxies that glowed during the radio wave.
In the data obtained, the research team found four bright circles that were first classified as known phenomena. The scientists then imaged these objects with other wavelengths, such as visible wavelengths, but surprisingly, they were not visible in visible light. That was enough for scientists to call these objects "strange radio circles" (ORCs).
According to data collected at the center of these circles, there were galaxies several million light-years across. The team found about 11 more circles, and their justifications for these objects ranged from image error to Einstein's circle.
They found another radio station about a month ago, and now, after examining it, they have come up with three possible answers. In the first answer, it is possible that other galaxies are forming around these objects that bend the luminous material into a circle around them, but are so dim that they are not visible to the naked eye.
There is another possibility that the black hole at the center of these objects will swallow the surrounding material and throw out cone-shaped jets of particles and high energy. Probably quite by chance we came across these jets and saw the cross section of these cones in a circle.
The third possibility could be an unknown but very high-energy phenomenon that occurred at the center of these rings and left such an impression. Of course, scientists have not yet identified such a phenomenon, but these radio rings could be the first clues.
