The title will take players to historic moments of humanity
The developers M Theory and Oddboy announced, last Thursday (25), a time travel game for PlayStation VR, called Wanderer. The title is scheduled for the third semester of this year.
The game is set in an alternative apocalyptic timeline, where players will have to search for the protagonist's grandfather's lost apartment and the “mysterious artifacts that are hidden inside”. Upon finding an unusual wristwatch, players will be able to traverse time and space.
Amid many secrets, the main mission will be to save the destiny of civilization. Check out a description posted on the game's official website :
An engaging narrative with unique interactions, Wanderer takes you back through the ages to reshape humanity's fortune. Experiment alongside frenzied inventors, play for an endless crowd of hippies, defend ancient civilizations from the invasion, decode secret messages in the middle of the war and discover the secrets of the space race.
The studio took the opportunity to share a teaser trailer full of mysteries, showing some ruined scenarios and the power of time travel at work. At some point, the main character even appears on the moon in a "magic step".
In addition to PlayStation VR, Wanderer will be released for Oculus and Steam VR.
More details of Wanderer
Through the PS Blog, Sam Ramlu, executive producer of the game, provided more information about the virtual reality title. According to him, players will go through several important moments in the history of mankind, such as the Second World War, iconic shows in 1969, falls of kings in the 16th century and much more.
The dev revealed that the gameplay of the game works like a “puzzle”, where it will be necessary to go back and forth in time to advance the narrative.
Wanderer combines a unique blend of escape room-style puzzles and practical action sequences that will bring you to collect objects and events from various periods of time in ways that are sometimes improbable and inventive. Take a step back in history, with full motion control on two PS motion controllers, to experience beautifully detailed worlds that come to life with realistic and innovative physics-based interactions.
So, dear reader, did you like Wanderer's proposal?
