A feature that has been present in the jailbreak since its inception and has never been adopted by Apple on iOS has been a dock in which to have 4 apps. Most users do not find this a problem, since the dock is used for the most commonly used apps and with 4 spaces it is usually more than enough. However, for all those who would like to expand the possibilities of their dock by including more apps, we have created this tutorial with a little trick to put many more: use folders.
How to add a folder to the iPhone dock
Following these steps you will easily have more than 4 apps in your dock:
1º Keep pressing on any app on your iPhone, either in the dock or on the home screen.
2nd When the pop-menu opens, click on the Edit home screen.
3rd If you have already occupied all 4 positions of your dock, drag one to the home screen to leave a free space.
4th Drag and drop the apps you want to include in the folder one to another to create it, then keep dragging more apps on the folder to include all the ones you want.
5º Once you have the complete folder drag it to the position you have previously left free in the dock.
6th When you have finished, if you have an iPhone with Face ID, click on Done in the upper right corner, if you have an iPhone with Touch ID just press the start button.
With this simple trick you can have more apps that you often use in your dock , without jailbreak and a super simple way. If you need even more apps, or you prefer to have them better organized within the same dock, you can always occupy the 4 boxes with folders and thus have all the apps you need at hand.
