Street Fighter V Season 5 arrives in February 2021

Street Fighter V: Champion Edition producer Shuhei Matsumoto, via Twitter, announced that Street Fighter V season 5 would begin in February 2021, with the release of the character Dan Hibiki, previously planned for later this year.

In a special message addressed to fans, the dev thanked everyone for their support and that the pandemic affected Capcom's working model. In this way, the focus is on ensuring total security for all professionals and family members.
I would like to take this moment to say thank you for your continued support. 2020 has been a difficult year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, affecting our work model and our lives. We have adjusted our development to give priority to everyone's safety. At the same time, we are working to deliver a level of quality that we want in Street Fighter Season 5. (…) We know that many are looking forward to the launch of the season and we want to deliver it as soon as possible.

The next Street Fighter V season will feature five new characters, four of which have already been revealed: Dan Hibiki, Rose, Oro, and Akira Kazama (from the Rival Schools game). The DLC's launch is planned to extend until the spring of 2021 - September to December.
