According to Wired, Carl Pei's new adventure is related to audio. The first products of this project should arrive in 2021, and the focus will go well beyond the headphones. The project will have already collected more than $ 7 million in funding.
"I am grateful and tremendously excited to have friends of this caliber, to support us in building what comes next. We have plans to show our vision hard, and we can't wait to see how the market will react," says Carl Pei in a statement.
"This initial investment will support the creation of a headquarters in London, the hiring of the team, and the financing of the continuous efforts of research and development of products", he explains.

This new adventure by Carl Pei has the support of several distinguished people. Tony Fadell, inventor of the iPod, YouTuber Casey Neistat or Reddit CEO Steve Huffman are just a few of the names who have contributed.
About OnePlus, Carl Pei has no resentment. "I have nothing against my time there. I learned a lot, and I kind of grew up. Now, in my thirties, I want to try something new", he says.
About any disagreement with the other co-founder and CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau, denies any problems. "We talked a few times (after leaving) and at the end of the day he agrees and supports me", he concludes.
