Apple Music comes to the Google Assistant, although not in full or everywhere

The moment that many of us have been waiting for for years has finally arrived. Apple has been trying for some time to integrate its services on more and more platforms . Finally, the Cupertino company has understood that it is not necessary to maintain the exclusiveness of these, and that they can take advantage of them much more if they reach even more people.

Of course, these things take time. It all started when they decided to launch Apple Music also on Android , with the same launch of the service. Later, when the HomePod couldn't win over as many users as they hoped, they brought their streaming platform to Amazon Alexa as well. And now, finally, the Google Assistant will also be compatible with it.

In the past, we could see some indications of the arrival of the service to the Google Assistant. However, it was all just rumors. Now, it has been Google itself that has announced that smart speakers compatible with its assistant will be able to play music from Apple Music . Of course, with certain limitations.

As happened when Apple Music arrived on Alexa, the arrival of the Google Assistant is not without problems. First of all, it won't be available everywhere. For now, only users from United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan will be able to activate it. Also, it doesn't seem like it's going to be available on all devices either.



According to the information shared by Google itself, compatibility is ensured for products in the Nest range, such as the Nest Audio or the Nest Mini. In the case of third-party devices, and as with other functionalities, it may not be available. Although many use Google's own speakers, which should not be a problem.

Thus, it is becoming easier to choose a smart speaker without having to be thinking of changing streaming platform . It will not be the full experience that the HomePod and HomePod mini offer us, but it will be a great addition that will make our lives more comfortable and fun.
