Rockstar Games bought the Crackdown 2 studio and The Master Chief Collection and renamed it "Ruffian Games" to "Rockstar Dundee", as pointed out by Companies House , a website that discloses information from companies registered in the United Kingdom.
The acquisition was initially noticed on Twitter in September and then The Gamer website confirmed the news.
The relationship between the studios is no longer today. In the past, Ruffian Games had previously worked with Rockstar Games. Some team members have also worked directly at Rockstar in Manhunt and the GTA franchise .
The acquisition, of course, generates curiosity. There are already speculations of possible plans for the new Rockstar Dundee. Who knows a remastering of some classic?
In addition to The Master Chief Collection, the studio produced Crackdown 2, but its reception was somewhat mixed. In Metacritic, the title recorded an average of 70 based on 91 analyzes.
