One of the worst things that we find when dealing with Apple products are the chargers for their products. Those of Cupertino are quite particular in this regard, and they find it horrendous to catch up to the competition in terms of fast charging, let alone connector standardization. For example, iPhone users still have to deal with the Lightning connector , and until last year, there wasn't even a fast charger in the box.
But the problems are not limited only to mobile phones, where Apple already has significant open conflicts due to initiatives such as the universal charger in the EU. The company's laptops also have a major problem when it comes to quickly charging their batteries. Specifically, some of the owners of one of the new MacBook Pro's 13 ″ , which recently received a new renovation by those from Cupertino.
Unlike previous models of the same size MacBook Pro, with a nominal power of 20. 3V / 3.0A, and as indicated by MacRumors, the new MacBook Pro with 10th generation Intel processors have a dual nominal power of 20. 3V / 3.0A and 20. 2V / 4.3A. Thus, technically they would be compatible not only with the chargers of 61 W, which are included with these laptops from 2016, but also with those of 87 W, normally reserved for MacBook Pro's 15 ″.
However, be careful, because the problem comes from the fact that, despite being able to be used safely in the new laptops that have these tenth generation processors, they would not suppose a notable improvement in the speed of loading. In fact, according to what the users of these models have reported is that using a charger of 87 W the laptop continues to charge as if it were connected to one of 61 W . But this does not mean that it is a useless improvement.

Precisely, the fact that the laptop can use higher power chargers would be useful for some professional users . In these cases, and with the use of applications that place a high load on the processor, this extra power allows to maintain a higher performance in a sustained manner. But for other users, using one charger or another will not be a noticeable improvement in any way. At least, in the most common use cases.
