First 8K pocket-sized 360 camera is now official (video)

Kandao is far from a well-known brand. But it announced Wednesday a 360 camera that will make it talk. The QooCam 8K shoots, as its name implies, up to 8K and has the particularity that it fits in your pocket.

With a launch price of $ 589, this camera is enough to compete with models like GoPro Max. However, it has the advantage of being able to record at 8K, even at 30fps (frames per second).



This is the camera that achieves the highest resolution in its segment. Plus, you'll be able to make “8K quick edit” on your smartphone in smaller 4K files. This helps you get around without sacrificing quality.

The 20 megapixel 1/7 inch sensor is slightly more pronounced than the competition. You should still have no problem if you want to put this camera in your pocket, and there is still room for a 2.4 inch OLED display.

Capable of 4K shooting up to 120fps

The battery is 3600mAh but no data on its actual range have been released. If at 8K is limited to 30fps, in 4K you can go to 60fps, and still slow-motion shooting at 120fps.

Thanks to the six-axis gyroscope, Kandao says we are facing a camera of great stability, which is what you want for adventures. In the photographic field, you will have 30MP with images up to 7680x3840 resolution and can be captured in JPG or RAW.

For now, QooCam 8K is only available for pre-order on the KanDao website , and is expected to reach first consumers in December. This is not a professional camera, but it will surely provide good times for those looking for such a solution.
