Tencent Launches Chess Rush, an Auto Chess Game

Chinese game distributor Tencent has launched a chess game with a completely different approach. It's called Chess Rush and uses several animated characters instead of chess pieces.

This game is available for Android and iOS for free. The following video shows you the very dynamic mechanics of the game. In fact, it does not even look like a chess game, it looks more like a RPG with its battle animations and special effects-packed attacks.

The game DOTA Auto Chess popularized this new concept

Earlier this year, Drodo Studio released a mod for the popular MOBA Dota 2. This mod is called Auto Chess and allows players to compete in duels where the characters in the game are the chess pieces.

Tencent says the game will not be 'Pay to Win'

An annoying trend in today's mobile games is the component of paying to have items, upgrades or any kind of advantage over other players. Mobile games tend to exert a 'limit' where if the player does not start paying real money, his progress will be extremely limited.

Tencent says that in Chess Rush, the most important factor for victory is the ability of the player. If you're fed up with the typical mobile games of competition, this may be ideal for you.
