AMD: leak reveals Navi RX 3080 specifications before launch

AMD is preparing to announce its new graphics cards during Computex 2019. In a new leak, the Navi RX 3080 graphics specifications have been revealed. It features 2560 stream processors and 8GB VRAM memory running at 256 bits.

These numbers were released by the well known leaker KOMACHI through his Twitter. The tweet in question has since been deleted, but Wccftech noticed the information in time. Given that the tweet has come out of the air, the veracity of this information gains strength.

The Navi RX 3080 will be the competitor of GeForce RTX 2070 from Nvidia

Although the name pulls us off for other flights, this AMD graphics will be in the same competitive terrain as the RTX 2070 from Nvidia. It will not be a top-notch graphic, but it has everything to be the new queen in the mid-range market.

The memory and the number of stream processors are the key elements to fit this new AMD graphics. Stream processors are the computational cores usually available in a Radeon graphics.

The Radeon RX 480, a graphics card launched by AMD in 2016, has 2304 stream processors. The new model obviously goes a step further, making up the 2560 processors. To simplify what these processors are, they are the equivalent of CUDA cores in Nvidia graphics.

The graph has a price tag of $ 499

By all means, the first Navi charts will be released for the mid-range segment. The price point for RX 3080 is $ 499, and the big question is whether it offers a better price than the RTX 2070 from Nvidia.

Computex 2019 is held in the city of Taipei, Taiwan. The largest computing event of the year begins May 28 and runs through June 1. Nvidia is preparing "something super", but judging by these specs, AMD should not be left behind.
