If you have AirPods headphones for about two years, then their charge probably began to sit down faster. For some users, they barely stand 30 minutes. This means no long conversations or music walks in the AirPods.
1. Try resetting the AirPods
The first and easiest solution is to reset the AirPods. As we wrote in an article with tips for AirPods owners, resetting can solve a lot of headset issues.
To reset the AirPods, open the headphone case and hold down the round button on the case. Hold the button for 10 seconds until a white glow appears. Now you can reconnect the AirPods to your device.
2. Fully discharge your AirPods charge
Extend the headphones can complete the full charge cycle. You need to completely discharge the headphone and cover battery, and then fully charge them.
3. Reconnect the headphones to the iOS device.
Instead of resetting, you can disconnect the AirPods from the iPhone and reconnect them. To do this, open the Settings app, select the Bluetooth section and click the “i” icon next to your AirPods. Click "Forget device", and then reconnect the headphones.
4. Use one AirPods headset one by one.
This is not the best solution, but in some cases it will be very useful to you. Both AirPods have microphones, and you can use them one at a time. If you have a long phone conversation, you can start it with one headset, while the second will be charged in the case. When one earphone is discharged, you can take the second one.
5. Replace battery
If you have a warranty on AirPods, you can replace the batteries at a discount. If not, it will cost a bit more.
Buy yourself new AirPods
If your AirPods are more than two years old, and the tips above don't help any more, then you should just buy new headphones. You can sell old AirPods and buy upgraded AirPods 2. They work longer, support the “Hi, Siri” function and connect to devices faster.
It is not worth spending a lot of money on the replacement of batteries of old AirPods, when you can buy new ones for 13,490 rubles.
