Samsung launches the release of Android 9 Pie for Galaxy A6 Plus in Europe

Just as the company had promised in unsuspected times, Samsung has finally decided to launch in Europe the release of the update to Android Pie for Galaxy A6 Plus, a smartphone that, as our review also points out, has good potential, especially now that the price has fallen.

The update in question (firmware A605FNXXU3BSC6) weighs over 1.2 GB and includes all the new features introduced by Android version 9, as conceived by the new  One UI, an evolution of the Samsung Experience: it has been put a general renewal of the interface is in progress, now optimized for 18: 9 format displays, and a "Night Mode" has been introduced to change the display colors based on the time of day and night. Security patches are instead updated in March 2019.

The major update for Galaxy A6 Plus is being rolled out in Poland, so you'll just have to wait for the notification to download the OTA to arrive in Italy too. If the wait becomes weary, you could also try to force the download by going to  Settings   >  About device  >  Software updates.
