Even Vivo has decided to adopt the tactics of many other companies to launch a new sub-brand as they did for example, Huawei and Xiaomi with Honor and Redmi respectively; in this case instead it is iQOO.
Vivo has not yet wanted to say to which segment of the smartphone market iQOO will orient itself, but some reports mention the premium one while others the gaming one: it is therefore probable that the new brand will not contain devices that are too cheap. If the second hypothesis turns out to be that versa, it would mean that Vivo wants to compete with Black Shark and Nubia gaming smartphones.
The announcement was made in China and nothing was said about the global market, so, at least at the beginning, iQOO devices will be confined to the Chinese territory. No smartphone has yet to be presented, but it is estimated that the first will be released by the beginning of the second quarter of 2019.
