Samsung's apps store changes name and is now called Galaxy Store

Considering that Samsung's new S-line is about to be launched today, one can imagine just how fast the manufacturer's schedule should be. Despite this, South Korea has been working hard over the past few months on software improvements that ship on its smartphones. With the update of S9 and Note 9 for Android Pie - and consequently the receipt of One UI - the company is changing its own application store to suit the new interface.

Reported for the first time by Reddit users, it seems that Samsung discreetly renamed its Android application store, which was called Galaxy Apps and is now called Galaxy Store.

In addition to the new nomenclature, the new apps store from Samsung also receives a renewal in the interface. It now has a look clearly inspired by the new design language of One UI, where corner curves and large headers can be found on all screens. Taking into consideration that the previous design was somewhat messy, the new design seems much more intuitive and easy to navigate.

Galaxy Fold will be the name of Samsung’s foldable smartphone

This update is now being released on Samsung devices, starting with those already upgraded to the Android Pie, and most likely it will also be on the new Galaxy S10 line.
