As part of its presentation at the Mobile World Congress, Qualcomm has revealed that it will take its rapid charging to wireless chargers. A maneuver that demonstrates how the market seems committed to this type of technology.
The intention of North American is that the builders begin to take advantage of faster loading times. Ultimately, the one who benefits most in the middle of all this is the consumer.
Qualcomm wants to bring its Quik Charge technology to the wireless chargers
So the Quick Charge technology that we all know will eventually reach the wireless charging market. However, Qualcomm did not provide further details on the specifics of this implementation.
Thus, we still do not know what the loading speeds will be implemented. So it would be quite interesting if it could take advantage of the 32W of power that Qualcomm promises for the next generation of its Quick Charge.
At this time, the Quick Charge technology is in its fourth iteration. In fact, it is able to provide a maximum energy flow of 27W, which still falls well behind some standards adopted by other companies.
For example, Huawei introduced yesterday a technology that allows a power flow of 55W. This is able to recharge 80% of the battery of the Huawei Mate X in just 30 minutes.
We will hardly see this kind of energy implemented in a wireless charger in the near future. But Qualcomm's bet on this niche may well prove to be the turning point in this market.
