Undeniably, Activision made a risky move by not including a single-player campaign in Black Ops 4. However, despite being heavily criticized, the game turned out to be the best-selling title of 2018!
Still, it seems that Activision has realized that it's a really risky move, and that may not turn out to be 2019! So it's time to go back to a good story, to convince all players of the value of Call of Duty, not just the 'addicts' of Online.
It was Activision Blizzard's own Rob Kostich, who told a recent meeting of shareholders that the next Call of Duty will feature a new campaign. As well as a gigantic and immersive multiplayer world, and of course, co-op game modes.
In addition, the executive also mentioned that this next game, "will be a step dude to the saga," but unfortunately, did not say anything else.
Similarly, the Blizzard CFO, Dennis Durkin, also showed great expectations by saying,
- "We have great expectations for the game! However, we are expecting sales to fall short of what Black Ops 4 achieved in the fourth quarter of 2018."
