Xiaomi president Lei Jun announced through Weibo that XiaoAI, the company's proprietary voice assistant, has been activated 100 million times, as reported by Xiaomi Cui Baoqiu's vice president of artificial intelligence and cloud platform.
XiaoAI is certainly not the first voice assistant on the Chinese market, but its strong integration with Xiaomi products has marked its success from the beginning; moreover, with his assistant the company managed to overcome also the assistant of Google, Alexa and Siri thanks to its better ability to interact with Chinese voice and contents. The wide range of Xiaomi products for home makes XiaoAI extremely useful in these contexts, giving control over lights, cleaning robots and much more simply and directly.
Other statistics released by the company let us know that its intelligent speakers wake up more than 853 thousand people every day, reproducing 1354221 hours of music daily. They are not numbers closely related to XiaoAI but they can help give us an idea of when it could quickly continue its expansion, especially adding the impressive figure of 132 million Xiaomi smart devices connected worldwide.
