The product is called PowerPort Atom PD and outwardly it may seem like a simple normal charger used on any smartphone. However, it has up to 30 watts of power with USB-C output and can detect the amperage and voltage of the device by itself, between 5V and 3A, 9V and 3A, 15V and 2A, 20V and 1.5A. That is, enough to charge even laptops with this type of input, such as the 13-inch MacBook Air.
However, the idea is to create a versatility for devices, especially between tablets. Anyone who has tried to charge a device using an accessory that was not made for it, may have realized that it may take longer than usual.
Thus, this charger can deliver the ideal settings always to use on your device. The only problem is still the need to have a device with USB-C input. According to company CEO Steven Yang, the expectation is that, as with most USB port laptops, companies will increasingly move to adopt only one type of entry on all their devices, including notebooks.
The PowerPort Atom PD will be released later this month at a price of $ 30 (~ $ 112).
Wireless
Also in the framework of chargers, Anker presented at CES a nice evolution of the old alarm clocks/radios. Soundcore Wakey can be called a small alarm, but with the ability to charge a smartphone placed above it.
That is, the idea is to get those people (almost everyone nowadays) who sleep with the device at the head and therefore need a socket close to leave the cell carrying.
The small device has two speakers, it is capable of tuning FM frequencies (without AM) and comes with 10 different types of alarms. Still, it counts on white noises to help when it's time to fall asleep. The device will hit the market next quarter costing $ 100 (~ $ 370).
