Samsung says Galaxy Note 9 has the best camera of any smartphone. In practice, it uses the same hardware as the Galaxy S9 Plus: dual MP dual cameras with double aperture and optical image stabilization in both.
However, there are some software updates. Samsung now offers AI-based scene detection, to automatically choose the best settings for each scene. Another interesting addition is the defect detection feature that will alert you if your photo is poor quality or if it captures someone with their eyes closed.
The analysis done by DXOmark confirms that we are facing a very good camera that takes really spectacular photographs. Focus system performance has also been signaled, as well as detail retention, noise reduction, zoom quality and realistic bokeh effects. The device has also gone very far in the field of exposure and provides an excellent dynamic range, which DXOmark says is one of the most extensive ever.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 DXOMark tests[/caption]This means that the Galaxy Note 9 camera is able to capture high contrast scenes with deep shadows and very bright lights. Images are also bright and vivid, with balanced white balance and good color rendition.
In line with the other top-of-the-range Samsung phones that have been released in the last two years, Galaxy Note 9 comes with very few design changes. In fact, Note 9 looks almost identical to the Galaxy Note 8 released last year. These similarities are largely present on the front of Note 9 despite the slightly smaller frames to accommodate the 6.4 inch screen.
The fingerprint sensor located on the back (now placed below the camera) is a way of distinguishing Note 9 from 8.
