The Nintendo Switch already has a base installed in Japan of over 5 million consoles.
According to the sales data advanced by the magazine Famitsu, until September 2, 2018 were sold exactly 5,007,368 Nintendo consoles SWitch. With the launch on March 3, 2017, the Nintendo console broke this barrier in just one year and six months.
Famitsu magazine also revealed what have been the top-selling games for the console so far. Contrary to what you might think, it's not the Super Mario saga games and The Legend of Zelda.
The best-selling game for the Nintendo Switch in Japan is Splatoon 2.

Super Mario Odyssey (10/27/17, Nintendo) - 1,788,228 units sold
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (04/28/17, Nintendo) - 1,738,502 sold out
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Nintendo, 03/03/17) - 1,065,780 units sold
Kirby: Star Allies (Nintendo, 03/16/18) - 591,721 units sold
