Honor Band 4: The competitor of Xiaomi Mi Band 3 unveiled

In addition to the Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max announced today, Honor also unveiled its latest smartband, the Honor Band 4. The new smart band comes with new features that promise to scare competitors. Can it dethrone Xiaomi Mi Band 3?

The biggest change is the addition of a color AMOLED screen. The screen is 0.9 inches and can display up to 45 characters. Another new feature is support for continuous heart rate monitoring.

Unlike other smart bands that only do the verification in intervals of time, Honor Band 4 verifies the heart rate at any moment. The heart rate chart can be viewed in the application. The band will also notify you if your heart rate is high.

Honor Band 4 has NFC and supports payments. The band can still track races and activities such as swimming, calories burned and distance travelled. The Honor Band 4 is waterproof up to 50 meters. At the same time alert also for calls and messages.

The band connects via Bluetooth 4.2 and works with iOS 9.0 and higher devices and Android 4.4 and higher. It weighs 23 grams and measures 43 x 17.2 x 11.5 mm. Honor did not indicate battery capacity but advises that it can last up to 14 days when you are not continuously checking your heart rate and 6 days if continuous checking is turned on.

The Band 4 costs about 29 Euros and is available in pink, black and blue. Pre-bookings have already begun and sales start on September 11.
