Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi MIX begin to receive Android Oreo

This is one of the mobile device manufacturers that provides the most updates and guarantees to their devices. On the other hand, it is also one of the slowest to deliver the new versions of Google's operating system, Android. However, now Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi MIX, two devices released in 2016, will be able to start using Android Oreo.

That's right, good news for these terminals. After having already upgraded Mi Note 2 to Android Oreo through weekly builds or weekly versions of MIUI 9, at 8.3.15, a stable version finally arrives. This MIUI 9 8.3.29., As the name implies, will replace the beta version (test version). Come now for the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi MIX.

So it's time to say goodbye to the beta version, the test version that until now was one of the few chances to test Android Oreo. Note that for several weeks now both mobile devices were testing the beta version of MIUI already based on this new version of the system.

Now, after a considerable wait, the terminal should have already received the Android Oreo through the weekly versions. Note that Mi Note 2 had already received it. Only these two terminals, two old tops of range, were missing. Be that as it may, it's good to see the brand take care of your devices and try to streamline the whole process of Android updates.

Android Oreo arrives at Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Mi MIX

Note that in addition to bringing the latest version of Google's operating system, Android Oreo, we also have several improvements and optimizations. Thanks to this new version of the operating system we finally have the points for notifications, picture-in-picture mode (more stable), among other improvements. We now have to pay attention to the official changes list, the changelog of the new version MIUI 9 8.3.29 that we will analyze next.
