MediaTek may not even have the best reputation ever for its processors. The brand dedicated itself for many years to the low-range coming from China and was losing credibility.
Software updates were also far from the best. As you know, when Android updates, the update must also be passed by the processor and then by the manufacturer.
But in recent years MediaTek has considerably improved these "details". The Asian chip company has partnered with OPPO, Xiaomi, and Meizu to integrate its Helio P60 into the brand's smartphones.
Xiaomi and OPPO risk again with MediaTek processors
This processor is equivalent to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, so you can expect quality performance. By way of comparison, Nokia 7 Plus is one of those that uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660.
We still do not know which Xiaomi smartphone will use the Helio P60 processor, however, it is believed that Oppo will bring the P60 to its R15.
We are in 2018 and with the mobile evolution of recent years, I can say that it is already safe to buy a terminal with a MediaTek processor. It only takes into account that, like those of Qualcomm, MediaTek has a wide range of chips. Before you choose a terminal with the brand processor, take a look at the feedback from the processor that ships it.
That's a great idea! Willing to hear and see their success in the near future. Thanks for the info
