Rumor: Ubisoft is already working on the next Assassin's Creed

The network appeared rumours and the first insider information about the new part of the popular series of Assassin's Creed. Gamers have long waited for the continuation of the series, and it is unlikely that a small DLC for last year's Assassin's Creed Origins could moderate their fervor. On the contrary, The Curse of the Pharaohs most likely provoked the fans of the franchise more - so it's no surprise that after the release of new content on the Internet, theories about Ubisoft's future plans immediately spread. Most players, of course, are interested in the release date of the possible sequel and in which country the developers will send the assassins this time.



As the journalist of the portal Comicbook reports, the next part is already under development - Ubisoft started the project in early 2017. The action of the new game will take place in Ancient Greece: such rumours, however, also went about Assassin's Creed Origins, but then the company abandoned the homeland of philosophy and science in favor of Egypt and its enchanting ruler Cleopatra. If the insiders are right, then the studio did not reject the idea with the Greek motives, but simply postponed it for the next big release. Curious fans, incidentally, immediately found in the Twitter account Raphael Lakosta, art director of the series, last year's photos of one of the attractions of this ancient country - probably the artist went for inspiration!

The game is likely to be released on PC, Xbox One and PS4, and the estimated release date is 2019. Representatives of Ubisoft have not commented on this leak so far, so now it's nothing more than rumors. However, the source who provided the information, had already shared insights on Origins, which were subsequently confirmed - so the news may turn out to be very plausible.
