NieR: Automadora exceeds 2.5 million units sold

One of the most praised games of the past, Nier: Automata officially exceeded the 2.5 million mark sold. The announcement was made through the official title account on Twitter ( in Japanese ).

The result is more than a month after the game completes its first birthday. In September of last year, the RPG celebrated 2 million units sold.

The popularity of the franchise is such that Square Enix already prepares a new episode of the game - which saved PlatinumGames, according to studio co-founder.

NieR: Automata tells the story of 2B and 9S, robots in a dystopian future where Earth is devastated. The game is available for PlayStation 4 and PC.
