Huawei Mate 11 will feature built-in biometric reader

Huawei is preparing to present the new elements of its P line. The P20 family will be unveiled next Tuesday, the 27th, in Paris. At this point, it seems to know almost everything about them, so it is time to look to the future. This future gives the name of Huawei Mate 11, the top of the autumn range of the Chinese company.

The Huawei Mate line is the true top of the range brand. It is in this line that the Chinese company usually bet everything, one that truly represents the best brand has to offer us. It also serves as the guinea pig for the introduction of new technologies in its equipment.

Take, for example, what happened with the Huawei Mate 10. These were the first smartphones of the brand to have screens with reduced margins. They were the first to form the new Kirin 970 processor. This is the first processor of the brand to have a neural processing unit, offering unique capabilities at the level of Artificial Intelligence. Two points that should now be in force in the new P20.

By the second half of 2018, a new member of the Mate family is expected. This could be known as Mate 11, but we can not rule out the possibility of a Mate 20. In fact, the company also jumped from P10 to P20.

Huawei Mate 11: the first Huawei with a biometric reader on the screen?

2018 has been marked by the arrival of the first equipment with this type of sensor. The first to be unveiled were Vivo X20 Plus UD and X21 UD. Both devices rely on technology developed by Synaptics. But what is now rumored to be the future Huawei Mate 11 has to do with its biometric security. The Digitimespublication now comes to raise the possibility of this Android relies on the long-awaited fingerprint reader built into the screen.

Allegedly, Huawei is looking at another supplier. It is advanced that the Chinese company will adopt similar technology developed by Qualcomm. If confirmed, this may be the first equipment to hit the market with the technology of the American company.

This is an ultrasonic sensor three times more expensive than the sensors used today. In contrast, it is only 0.44mm thick and can work on glass thicker than the technology used in Vivo. Another of the advantages of the Qualcomm sensor is its ability to read correctly even with wet or greasy fingers.

Report says Windows 10 is safer than Windows 7

The same source goes on to say that Huawei will not be the only Chinese company to adopt this technology. Without advancing with specific brands, it is said that more can endow their international versions with the technology of Qualcomm. Already the versions intended for your home market will have 3D facial recognition.
