Google has already added the official "Night Mode" on YouTube for iOS, but the night mode for the Android application is still in development. In addition, we were not even informed of the release date of the update.
However, do not be upset. Developers managed to come up with how you can now add night mode to the YouTube app for Android.
To add a night mode now, you need to access "root". If you have already done so, follow the instructions below.
Download and install the Preferences Manager application . It's free and available on the Google Play Store.
Launch the application and look in the YouTube list.
Open the youtube.xml file.
In it, find the word "dark" without quotes. Then change both "value" from false to true. If they are not there, you'll have to add it yourself. Create theme_dark_app and theme_dark_watch_panel and change them to
Save the changes and force-close YouTube.
It's all. Now the YouTube app should turn dark. Or you can just wait until the official support of the night mode is added, which should appear in the near future.
