Tecno Camon i Air with FullView display and 3050mAh battery announced in India

Tecno Mobile, a subsidiary of Transsion holding has silently unveiled a new smartphone with name Tecno Camon I Air in India. The device is not entirely new, its a watered-down model of the Camon I device that was announced earlier in January.

Tecno Camon I Air packs same specification and designs as the base Camon I, but with some changes made to the camera pixels and RAM. The Camon I Air comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera replacing the 13-megapixel front-facing camera of the base Camon I, while on the RAM and storage side it was reduced to 2GB RAM and 16GB storage compared to 3GB RAM and 32GB storage on the base Tecno Camon i.

Other specifications remain the same including a 5.65-inch IPS LCD Display that produces 18:9 aspect ratio with HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. Camon i and Camon i Air is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 chipset with Mali-T720 GPU and expandable internal storage.

The rear camera remains at 13-megapixel with LED flash quad-LED flash, while it still, unfortunately, runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with the company’s own customize OS HiOS out of the box.

Priced at Rs. 7999, the Tecno Camon I Air is available in two colors: Midnight Black and Champagne Gold colors and should hit the stores in the following day
