Performance AMD Ryzen 5 second-generation disclosed in Geekbench

In the database of the popular benchmark, Geekbench appeared the results of testing the AMD Ryzen 5 2600 generation Pinnacle Ridge, also known as Zen +, which was not released yet. Thanks to this, we can now estimate the performance gain in comparison with the previous generation.

Testing AMD Ryzen 5 2600 took place on a computer with 16 GB of RAM and the operating system Windows 10 Pro (64-bit).

The processor scored 4,269 points in a single-core test and 20,102 in a multi-core test. For comparison, its predecessor Ryzen 5 1600 is gaining about 3,900 and 17,500 points respectively.

The new chipset includes 6 processing cores (12 streams) and is executed on a 12-nm process technology, while last year's Ryzen 5 1600 was produced using a 14-nm process technology. Ryzen 5 2600 is capable of operating at a frequency of up to 3.4 GHz with a boost of up to 3.8 GHz. The level of the cache memory of the third level is 32 MB.
