Instagram is testing its own regram feature for users

Functionality is already being tested among a small number of users

A common practice among many Instagram users, regram - sharing other people's photos in their own profile - can be made available as a native tool by the social network itself soon.

Tests with the feature have been confirmed by Instagram to TechCrunch. According to the publication, the option will allow users to share third-party posts through Stories, customizing the content with stickers, emojis or text.

Users with public accounts may choose not to allow their posts to be redistributed by third parties. Posts shared by third parties through Stories will also appear with the original users id of the post on them.

For now, functionality is being tested among a small number of users. There is no forecast of when it will be officially available.
