Counter-Strike co-creator arrested for sexual exploitation of minor

Jess Cliffe, the co-creator of  Counter-Strike, was arrested early Friday for sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to a report from the American broadcaster  KIRO7, no formal charges were filed against the developer. Police have not specifically commented on the case, and according to King County prosecutors, this type of prosecution involves the creation of child pornography.

Cliffe created Counter-Strike with college colleague,  Minh Le, in 1999. His voice appears in the classic narration of the game, with phrases that say the bomb was planted or declare the victory of one side (terrorists or counter-terrorists ).

PlayStation 4 reaches 76.5 million units sold

A year later,  Valve officially launched the game and hired the developer, who also worked on  Half-Life 2,  Team Fortress 2,  Left 4 Dead 2  and  Portal 2.

At  Kotaku, Valve claimed to have suspended Cliffe until he found out exactly what had happened.
