Xiaomi has already shown that it can create good hardware at an advantageous price. Both this Mi 5X and Mi A1 are extreme quality terminals for its low value. While not a lover of your design, I understand that tastes are not discussed.

As I mentioned, tastes are not discussed. However, I have to point out that I believe that Xiaomi has done better in terms of design. The Xiaomi Mi 5X is a terminal that runs totally out of the company's smartphone lines and is far from the most elegant.
The quality of construction is positive. The Android smartphone offers a metal construction and feels premium in the hand, however much it costs less than half of a Galaxy S8. If I could describe this Mi 5X compared to other terminals on the market I would say it reminded me of an iPhone 7 Plus "Lite". It's thin, light and quality.
The hunchback in the rear camera is also not the most pleasant and the front margins on the screen do not remind us of the new terminals with the bezel-less screen. The buttons offer a nice click. This is where Xiaomi earns many points. Although it is a mid-range, this Xiaomi Mi 5X is truly well built.

The Xiaomi Mi 5X screen has a nice quality. With the FullHD resolution, the 5.5 "inch screen gives us a sharp, quality picture. However, the saturation and brightness are not the best. I understand that the screen is LCD, but also the Mi 6 is and Xiaomi has discovered a way to give it a good saturation.

Haptic feedback and auto-brightness are perfect and you will not have problems writing on the screen quickly and efficiently. I just think the saturation could be a bit stronger. The screen is the main hardware of the smartphone and since Xiaomi already did better, I believe that this 5X also deserved it.
And the Xiaomi Mi 5X cameras?
This is the Achilles heel of Xiaomi, the mid-range and, in particular, this Mi 5X. The device offers two 12MP rear cameras, however, without optical stabilization it's super complicated to take a picture that is not blurry.
When in good light you will have no problem with the images, they are acceptable. When night falls, or brightness low, the grain appears. The front camera does the work but does not expect miracles either. Sincerely in the photography, this Xiaomi Mi 5X is far from surprising. A feather! I hope that in 2018 the Chinese company will evolve in this sector.
In performance, is it worth it?
This is where the terminal wins the most. Mi 5X has very relevant specifications for the price and you will not feel that you are using a mid-range. It is true that multi-tasking is not as fast as a top of the range, but this was to be expected.
