WhatsApp will play YouTube videos straight from the chat window

The WhatsApp  will allow playback of videos YouTube within their own chat windows, no longer requiring the user to click on a link to follow the content outside the application.

According to the site WABetaInfo , the feature begins to be available from this Wednesday (17) with the new version 2.18.11 of the application for iOSdevices .

With the feature, YouTube links sent in a chat window will automatically become a player, which can be triggered within WhatsApp for video playback. See below:

In addition to the full screen mode, there is a playback mode that leaves the video restricted to a small window in the corner of the chat screen, so the conversation can continue even with the video running. Video streaming is only interrupted if the user pauses or leaves that chat window.

There is no information yet on when the feature will be released to other devices.
