The long-awaited remaster of Dark Souls will be released on the Nintendo Switch

During the video presentation of Nintendo Direct Mini, a remaster of the original Dark Souls for Switch was officially announced, rumors about which appeared a few months ago. The updated version of hardcore Action-RPG will include both the base game and all the additional content from DLC Artorias of the Abyss. That is, in fact, it will be an exact copy of the publication Prepare To Die Edition, but with a "tightened" to modern graphics standards. First, the remaster will be released in the Japanese market.



In addition to Nintendo's hybrid console, Dark Souls: Remastered will visit other modern platforms. And if the version for the Switch does not differ too much from the original (1080p when connected to a TV, 720p in portable mode), the updated version for personal computers and modern consoles can boast better textures and support for high resolutions (4K for PC, PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, 1080p for Xbox One and PS4), and will also "flaunt" the lighting, shadows, and effects carried straight from the trickle. On all platforms, except Switch, the remaster will go to 60 FPS. On the semi-portable console, the game will give stable 30 FPS in both modes.

Will be released Dark Souls: Remastered on May 25, 2018. It is expected that after the Japanese release of a remaster hit Xbox 360 and PS3 2011 will reach the Western market, but no information about when this will happen, yet.
