These are the new Android smartphones for one of the brand's most sought-after lines, the mid-range segment - the XA line. Now we have two new devices to discover. Both with a rather familiar design, too up to some consumers. For others, it will be the continuation of an elegant design philosophy, the OmniBalance we first met in 2013.

The new Sony Xperia XA 2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra have arrived at CES 2018
Now, about a year later, his successors arrive. Two new devices, the Sony Xperia XA2 and the Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra. The new bets for the mid-range segment.
The emphasis on both devices has been placed on their photographic capabilities. What they can do with their cameras. Without ever forgetting that these are mid-range devices we will now look closely at each of them.
First, what unites them. The technology decided to use a main camera of 23MP in both smartphones. They also have the same 8MP camera for all your selfies and video calls.
This front camera has a 120º wide-angle lens so you do not cut anyone from the photo. In the XA2 Ultra model, this front camera is specially reinforced with two sensors and an LED flash.
Features shared by the Sony Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra:
Inside both devices, we also have the mid-range processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 630 SoC. It is an octa-core SoC with maximum speeds of 2.2Ghz. Both devices also have memory expansion via microSD card up to 256GB.
Another point that unites them is the presence of the operating system Android Oreo 8.0, the latest version of this OS. It will undoubtedly be a great bonus for the first users of these devices recently presented at CES 2018. Both also have a Type C USB port.
Differences between the Sony Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra:
Although both devices recently introduced at CES 2018 share several features, we also have several differences here. The most notorious being undoubtedly its size, its physical dimensions.
Here, the new Sony Xperia XA2 employs a screen of 5.2 inches, 16: 9 format, the Xperia XA2 Ultra employs a screen of 6 sheaves, also 16: 9. On both devices, the brand nickname these "borderless" displays because of their slight curvature at the side margins. Both smartphones have the same Full-HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels).
Another of the "big" differences between both devices is on their front panel. Although both models are equipped with a "brand new" 8MP camera, the Xperia XA2 Ultra has a dual camera. In this case, we have an 8MP sensor and another 16MP sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS) also for the front camera.
Differences go beyond the size of Sony Xperia
The Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra employs a 3580mAh battery. Both devices support the new Qnovo Adaptive Charging charging technology and multiple power saving modes and increased autonomy. In addition, we also have a considerable difference in the capacity of the batteries of both devices. Here, the Sony Xperia XA2 employs a 3300mAh capacity battery. Here you can also guess a good battery life in both new devices.
We also have some differences regarding the technical characteristics of both devices. Here, the Sony Xperia XA2 employs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal expandable storage.
Already your biggest "brother" has a solid 4GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal storage. It also expandable via microSD memory card up to a total of 256GB (on both devices).
As the brand has already inhabited us, both devices will be available in a rich color palette. It should be noted that the color selection may vary depending on the market for which they are intended.
Essentially we will have Black, Blue and Silver for both devices. The Rose is also available for the XA2 while the XA2 Ultra will enjoy gold as the fourth color.
