From China, we get more news related to the American Google. The company responsible for the world's most popular search engine has just announced a comprehensive patent licensing agreement. This patent agreement was signed with the Chinese technology, Tencent. Its implications will be felt in the near future.
According to Bloomberg, the terms of the agreement were not disclosed to the public (a common practice) but, according to Google's own statements, the agreement with Tencent will be valued at 500 billion dollars. The agreement on patent licensing will cover a wide range of topics and products.
Still, according to the Bloomberg play, the agreement between Google and Tencent covers a number of products and technologies with the emphasis placed on the term "long-term." Both companies have pledged to work together from now on to develop new technologies and expand the barriers to innovation.

" We are excited and happy to sign this patent agreement with Tencent. By working together on deals like these, the largest technology companies can focus on building and be developing new products and solutions. " Mike Lee's statements to Bloomberg. Lee currently serves as head of Google's patent and licensing department.
It should be noted that the overwhelming majority of services and Google's own search engine are completely blocked in China. This situation dates back to 2010 when the search engine refused to apply filters and prior censorship in that country. The imposition of the Chinese government was firm and clear. The US company did not follow the orders. The result was his departure, even in that year, of the country.
Google recently opened a research and development center in Shenzhen, the technology capital of the world. Little by little, he seems to be wanting to return to this country. This recent patent agreement with Tencent, one of the largest companies in the country, bodes well.
In turn, Tencent is one of the largest and most influential Chinese companies. A giant of the technology world is particularly strong in the gaming world. She is responsible for the WeChat communications service. He is also one of the investors in Snap, Tesla and even in Spotify.
