EA confirms that Anthem will be postponed to early 2019

The Game was originally scheduled for the end of this year

Anthem, the new science fiction game from BioWare (Studio of the Mass Effect series), will be postponed to early 2019, confirmed by Electronic Arts on Tuesday night 30.

The postponement had already been aired by a Kotaku report published last week but was spiked by EA during the announcement of its financial results for the fiscal third quarter of 2018.

Different from the one indicated by the publication, however, the company says that the postponement is not due to the fact that the game is delayed. " It's not a delay, " said the company's chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen. " People are trying to create a story ."

According to the Wall Street Journal, the new Anthem date, scheduled for this year, would aim not to allow the game to be cannibalized by the new Battlefield planned by EA for October this year.

New ownership of EA, Anthem has been in development since 2012 with a long pre-production time. The development team would have grown significantly in 2017 in an effort to accelerate the development of the game.

The game has no confirmed release date but should reach for the PlayStation 4Xbox One and PC.
