Tinder Gold was first unveiled in June and afterward spent several weeks in testing in a few selected markets, this is the first time it’s been available to US users. Tinder Gold jump to the top-grossing list makes one thing plainly clear: that Tinder users want to know really who has liked them, and they’re willing to pay to find out this may sound crazy to you reading this post but not to the users already paying for it.

As far as the subscription tier, it appears Tinder app has — ahem — struck gold. Not only does Tinder Gold cost $5/month, it also requires an additional $10 per month Tinder Plus subscription, a unique feature which lets it users search for people outside their location and “rewind” on left swipes. It shocking to see a significant number of Tinder users went from using the Tinder for free to paying a $15/month subscription overnight, this is sure the big reason why it hit the top-grossing list.
According to Tinder, the Gold tier will be available for Android sometime next month, so Android users need to wait just a bit to cough up cash and see who likes them.
